Your role
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying potential customers and securing new partnerships, with a focus on building lasting relationships and growing revenues through business development. While managing existing customer relationships may be part of the role, the main objective will be to generate new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial sectors, with a particular focus on the military, defense, security and public safety sectors.
Your responsibilities will include :
Acquisition of new accounts (75%)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy, including prospecting, lead generation and sales pipeline management
- Develop new distributors, end-users or direct OEMs involved in the purchase, sale and/or promotion of Nanuk brands and solutions.
- Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities in the target market/industry
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers and emerging trends
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within potential customer organizations
- Prepare and present convincing presentations and proposals to potential customers
- Negotiate and conclude agreements, ensuring that they are mutually beneficial
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to new account acquisition
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
Relationship management with existing customers (25%)
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers, identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Identify and respond proactively to customer needs and concerns.
- Participate in the development of solutions and strategies to meet customer needs
Your profile :
- Bilingualism is essential, both written and spoken, in French and English, to ensure effective communication with our internal and external customers.
- Bachelor’s degree or other relevant certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales or a related field
- Experience with government tenders and tender commissions
- Proven track record in new account creation and sustainable sales growth
- Strong understanding of the military and public security industry and its key players
- Experience with CRM software (Hubspot)
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and vehicle required
- Available for special events and travel as needed
- Well-organized, self-disciplined with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
